Favourite Youtubers

At one point in my life, I stopped watching television and relied on Youtube for my entertainment. With Youtube, you didn't have to wait for a specific broadcast time to watch your favourite show, unlike TV. Not only that, you can also watch something over, and over, and over again (cat vids, anyone?).

The first channel I subscribed to would probably be Smosh. I was introduced to them by my older brother when they were in their golden age. It was just the two of them, Ian and Anthony, doing comedy skits together. 11-year-old me found their slightly dirty sense of humour  to be extremely funny. Aside from their main channel, I also watched their 2nd channel, whose videos consist of the duo opening mail and eating lunch together. I soon began discovering other channels, one of them being PewDiePie.

I subscribed to PewDiePie back when he still played horror games (his subscriber count was a tenth of his current subs). I found him and his constant cursing and screaming to be extremely funny, too. His first video I watched would probably be his Slender Woods playthrough (and yes, I was into Slenderman at the time). He, too has changed a lot now.

Of course, as time goes by, my favourite Youtubers change. From Smosh and Pewds to CaptainSparklez, from this to that yada yada yada...and now I'm subscribed to 18 channels, out of which I only regularly watch, like, 4 of them. Plus, there are also other channels that I watch but don't subscribe to.

My current favourites are Alex French Guy Cooking, Domics, and TheOdd1sOut. I especially like Domics the most (close 2nd would be Alex. Funny guy and good cook). I don't even know what it is that drags me into his content. And his content is quite simple, too; it's just him, telling stories about his life or discusses a certain topic while playing an animation that he made. Now, I'm not underestimating what he does or anything. I know for a fact animating is quite laborious and time consuming. In fact, by watching his videos I wanted to learn to draw.

Anyways, through him I discovered another animator: TheOdd1sOut. His content doesn't differ significantly from Domics' in which he also does animations (disclaimer: I am not trying to acuse him of plagiarism). Some find it odd that I really enjoy animation channels. I myself sometimes find it odd that I like different kinds of things than most people. Some have even questioned my interests. But, like, who gives a damn, really?

Since it has happened multiple times in the past, I can definitely see myself having new favourites in the future. A likely candidate would be Jaiden Animations but eh who knows.
